Bow String Effects? - Guild Wars Forums

I've got a poisoners string on my bow and it claims to give an increased duration to poison. Fair enough. But I noticed that the skill description gives the same value (8secs) with or without the bow equipped. Should it change? What is the duration increase? The description of the string doesn't say by how much....

The only way you can be sure is to time it yourself. The skill duration description changes when you increase your wilderness survival skill, but does not reflect any increase when your poisoners bow is equip. I've checked myself, and it looks like I get a couple extra seconds in there.

I bought it off a guy I was grouped with and stuck it on a flatbow I already had....

Thanks Ripper, I guess there's no ingame stats to check so I'll just do as you suggest.

The poison length does increase, I know because I use it to great effect... seems to make it about 20-25% longer duration.

The bow string works the same way Expertise works in the way that you don't see a difference in the cost till you use it. It does poison for another 3 to 4 seconds.
